A. Lange & Söhne เปิดตัว Cabaret Tourbillon Honeygold ภายในงาน Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este

ตั้งแต่ที่ A. Lange & Söhne มีการก่อตั้งแบรนด์ขึ้นอีกครั้งในปี ค.ศ. 1994 นั้น นาฬิกาเกือบทั้งหมดเป็นรูปทรงกลม และจะมีก็เพียงรุ่น Cabaret ที่เปิดตัวในปี ค.ศ. 1997 เท่านั้นที่มีรูปทรงสี่เหลี่ยมผืนผ้าอย่างแท้จริง ทั้งยังมีเครื่องนาฬิกาแบบไขลานที่มีรูปทรงสี่เหลี่ยมผืนผ้าเหมือนตัวเรือนด้วย บนหน้าปัดจะมีหน้าต่างวันที่แบบเอาท์ไซส์เดทที่ใต้ตำแหน่ง 12 นาฬิกา หลักชั่วโมงเลขโรมันที่ตำแหน่ง 4 ทิศ และหลักชั่วโมงรูปสี่เหลี่ยมข้าวหลามตัดตามตำแหน่งชั่วโมงที่เหลือ
นาฬิกา Cabaret ในอดีตอาจจะมีต่างสีต่างวัสดุบ้างเล็กน้อย แต่ก็ไม่ได้มีหลายคอมพลิเคชั่นนัก จะมีก็เพียง Cabaret Moon Phase ในปี ค.ศ. 2004 และ Cabaret Tourbillon ในปี ค.ศ. 2008 เท่านั้น โดยที่รุ่นหลังนี้เป็นนาฬิกาตูร์บิยองที่หยุดเข็มวินาทีเพื่อตั้งเวลาได้เป็นรุ่นแรกของโลกด้วย ก่อนที่ Lange จะนำกลไกดังกล่าวไปใช้ในนาฬิการุ่นอื่นๆ ต่อไป
หลังจากนั้น Cabaret ก็หายไปจากคอลเลคชั่นปกติของ A. Lange & Söhne แบบเงียบๆ จนกระทั่งกลับมาแบบสุดเซอร์ไพรส์ในฐานะนาฬิการุ่นพิเศษเป็นลิมิเต็ดเอดิชั่นจำนวน 30 เรือนในชื่อ Cabaret Tourbillon Handwerkskunst ในปี ค.ศ. 2021 แล้วจึงมี Cabaret Tourbillon Honeygold เป็นลิมิเต็ดเอดิชั่นจำนวน 50 เรือนในปีนี้
Cabaret Tourbillon Honeygold เป็นนาฬิกาวัสดุฮันนีโกลด์รุ่นที่ 18 ของ Lange ตัวเรือนขนาด 29.5 x 39.2 มม. มีความทนทานต่อการขีดข่วนสูงกว่าทอง 18 กะรัตทั่วไป และมีโทนสีพิเศษที่ไม่เหลืองเท่าเยลโลว์โกลด์แต่ก็ไม่ชมพูขนาดพิงค์โกลด์ จับคู่กับแผ่นหน้าปัดที่ผลิตจากฮันนีโกลด์ด้วย แต่มีการเคลือบพื้นผิวด้วยโรเดียมสีดำเกือบทั้งหมด เว้นไว้เฉพาะตำแหน่งสัญลักษณ์ต่างๆ ที่เป็นแบบนูนสูง

A. All most all A. Lange & Söhne watches since the re-established of the brand in 1994 have been round in shape. The sole truly rectangular design was the Cabaret. It was unveiled in 1997, complete with a hand-winding movement shaped to match the rectangular case itself. The dial featured an outsize date beneath 12 o’clock, Roman numerals at the four cardinal points and lozenge-shaped hour markers for the remaining positions.
The Cabaret line in the past saw a handful of variations in colours and materials, while complications remained relatively limited. Beyond the standard models, there were only the Cabaret Moon Phase in 2004 and the Cabaret Tourbillon in 2008, the latter being the world’s first tourbillon wristwatch capable of stopping the seconds hand for precise time setting. Lange would later incorporate this mechanism into other watches as well.
After that, the Cabaret quietly disappeared from the regular collection of A. Lange & Söhne. This was until it made a highly unexpected return in 2021 as the 30-piece limited edition Cabaret Tourbillon Handwerkskunst. This year, the brand followed it with the 50-piece limited edition Cabaret Tourbillon Honeygold.
The Cabaret Tourbillon Honeygold is the 18th Honeygold watch produced by Lange. Crafted in this proprietary gold alloy, the 29.5 x 39.2 mm case is more resistant to scratches than its counterparts in conventional 18K gold, and with a tone that is less yellow than yellow gold yet not as pink as pink gold. It is paired with a dial also made from Honeygold, though almost entirely coated in black rhodium, leaving only the raised markers and indications exposed.
The Cabaret Tourbillon Honeygold is powered by the hand-winding rectangular Calibre L042.1. The movement adopts Lange’s signature three-quarter plate architecture as in their round movements, allowing the beauty of the Glashütte ribbing to be fully appreciated. Power reserve reaches an impressive 120 hours and can be monitored via the indicator positioned at 4 o’clock on the dial.
A. Lange & Söhne maintain a highly structured schedule for unveiling new watches throughout the year, beginning with Watches and Wonders Geneva in April. For the Cabaret Tourbillon Honeygold, however, Lange deliberately reserved its debut for May during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como in Italy, an event with which the brand has maintained a partnership for 15 years.
