The the Swiss watch brand Gerald Charles is celebrating their 25^th anniversary by donating a unique timepiece — the Gerald Charles Maestro GC39 Remaster with a rare Australian fire opal dial — to Action Innocence. The watch will be auctioned by Christie’s on 12 May at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva at 14:00 local time. All proceeds from the auction will go to Action Innocence, a foundation dedicated to protecting the dignity and innocence of children, teenagers, and the wider public in today’s increasingly complex and perilous online world.

The Maestro GC39 Remaster is an evolution of the legendary Maestro GC39, originally designed in 2005 by the iconic designer Gérald Charles Genta. It features a polished 42 mm Grade 5 titanium case, with the rare fire opal set at the centre of the dial, surrounded by a radiating pattern executed using a specialised micro-electrochemical technique called “meta guilloché”. The watch’s movement features a jumping hour complication and a conventional minute hand. It is self-winding, fitted with a rotor especially designed to mark the brand’s 25^th anniversary, and offers a 50-hour power reserve.

The watch will be displayed in several cities around the world prior to the auction, including Bangkok from 28 to 30 April at Christie’s Bangkok on the 20^th floor of Gaysorn Tower.
