Humans since 1982 คือสตูดิโอออกแบบและแบรนด์สินค้าระดับลักชัวรีที่มีผลงานงานจัดแสดงอยู่ตามสถานที่สำคัญและพิพิธภัณฑ์ระดับโลกมากมาย บริษัทแห่งนี้ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2009 โดยสองดีไซเนอร์ เพอร์ เอมมานูเอลสัน และ บาสเตียน บิชอฟฟ์ โดยมีเดวิด ค๊อกซ์ ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายเทคโนโลยีในปัจจุบัน สำนักงานใหญ่ของ Humans since 1982 อยู่ที่กรุงสต็อกโฮล์ม ประเทศสวีเดน โดยผลงานที่โดดเด่นและผู้คนจดจำได้มากที่สุดก็คือจลนศิลป์หรือคิเนติกอาร์ทที่มีชื่อว่า Clock Clock 24 และ A million Times ซึ่งเป็นนาฬิกาแขวนผนังขนาดใหญ่ที่เป็นทั้งเครื่องแสดงเวลาและประติมากรรมที่ดูแปลกใหม่และน่าค้นหาในหนึ่งเดียว

Together with Bjarke Ingels Group and SolidNature, the Swedish studio has reimagined two of their products with travertines.

Humans since 1982 is a Stockholm-based design studio and luxury brand whose works have been exhibited in major institutions and landmark venues around the world. Founded in 2009 by Per Emanuelsson and Bastian Bischoff, with David Cox currently serving as Chief Technology Officer, the studio is best known for its kinetic artworks Clock Clock 24 and A million Times. These wall-mounted installations combine horology and sculpture, transforming the concept of time display into a mesmerising form of motion and visual rhythm.
Recently, Humans since 1982 collaborated with world-renowned architectural firm BIG or Bjarke Ingels Group and leading natural stone supplier SolidNature, to create a series of artworks that elevate architectural expression through the union of design and nature. The collaboration reimagines Clock Clock 24 and A million Times using travertine: a natural stone formed from the sedimentation of minerals in freshwater over hundreds of thousands of years. This porous yet lightweight material, available in neutral and warm tones ranging from grey and beige to brown and gold, carries patterns that are uniquely its own – each one a a record of geological time.
The Clock Clock 24 Bjarke Ingels Sunset Dune features 24 dials mounted on a 92 × 42 × 3.4 cm slab of travertine in Sunset Dune hues. Each dial bears two sleek metal hands that do not tell the time individually. Instead, they move in synchronised, flowing patterns for 60 seconds before aligning collectively to display the current time in four large numerals. This intricate choreography is driven by an intelligent system comprising circuit boards, motors, sensors and microprocessors, all engineered by Humans since 1982. Only ten pieces of this Clock Clock 24 edition will produced, each priced at EUR 19,000 (including shipping but excluding taxes).
Meanwhile, A million Times 96 (Bjarke Ingels) operates on the same principle but on a grander scale, measuring 177 × 125 × 7 cm and featuring 96 dials. While it shares the conceptual foundation of Clock Clock 24, its motion sequences are far more intricate and varied. This edition is limited to only five pieces, each crafted from travertine in a different natural hue, and priced at EUR 190,000 (including shipping but excluding taxes).
