Orient Star ร่วมกับ United Krungthong Trading เปิดบูติคแห่งแรกในโลกของแบรนด์ในประเทศไทยที่ Gaysorn Tower ชั้น 2 โดยที่บูติคแห่งนี้ได้รับการตกแต่งในธีม Time and Space เพื่อบ่งบอกว่าเรือนเวลาหลากหลายรุ่นของแบรนด์ออกแบบโดยมีดวงดาวเป็นแรงบันดาลใจ และ Orient Star ยังได้รับเกียรติเป็นพิเศษจาก ฯพณฯ โอตากะ มาซาโตะ เอกอัครราชทูตญี่ปุ่นประจำประเทศไทย มาร่วมพิธีเปิดในครั้งนี้ด้วย
คุณรังสรรค์ นราธัศจรรย์ สถาปนิกและมัณฑนากรผู้ออกแบบบูติคขนาด 78 ตารางเมตรแห่งนี้บอกเล่ากับแขกที่มาในงานว่าตนมีความตั้งใจให้พื้นของบูติคมีลวดลายเส้นสายที่พลิ้วโค้งไปมาเหมือนกับสวนสไตล์เซนขนาดย่อมๆ ในพื้นที่ระเบียงรับแสงธรรมชาติซึ่งอยู่ติดกัน และไอส์แลนด์สีดำที่ใช้โชว์นาฬิกาแต่ละแท่นนั้นก็เป็นเหมือนก้อนหินขนาดใหญ่ในสวนเซนด้วย กำแพงของบูติคเป็นงานไม้ยาคิซูกิสีดำเพื่อสร้างความสลัว ให้แสงจากบนเพดานระแนงไม้ลายคูมิโกะลวดลายวงโคจรแห่งจักรวาลช่วยขับให้นาฬิกาที่วางโชว์แต่ละชุดดูโดดเด่นเป็นที่สุด
เนื่องในโอกาสเปิดตัวบูติคแห่งแรกของโลกนี้พร้อมกับวาระครบรอบ 75 ปีของการดำเนินกิจการ Orient Star จึงมีการเปิดตัวนาฬิการุ่นพิเศษจำนวน 275 เรือน สำหรับประเทศไทยโดยเฉพาะด้วยในชื่อ Modern Skeleton Land of Smile Limited Edition โดยมีคอนเซปท์ว่ารอยยิ้มแห่งการต้อนรับอันอบอุ่นนั้นเป็นสิ่งแรกที่ทีมงานชาวญี่ปุ่นของ Orient Star สัมผัสได้ และมีการใช้สีแดง ขาวและน้ำเงินของธงไตรรงค์ในการตกแต่งตามจุดต่างๆ บนหน้าปัด นาฬิการุ่น Land of Smile นี้มีตัวเรือนสเตนเลสสตีลขนาด 41 มม. และทำงานด้วยเครื่องนาฬิกาแบบไขลานระดับอินเฮ้าส์รุ่นคาลิเบอร์ F6F44 ซึ่งมีกำลังลานสำรอง 50 ชั่วโมง รายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมกรุณาติดต่อทาง Instagram ชื่อ orientstarwatch.thailand

Orient Star, together with United Krungthong Trading, has opened the brand’s first-ever boutique in the world in Thailand, located on the second floor of Gaysorn Tower. The boutique has been designed around the theme of “Time and Space”, reflecting how many of the brand’s timepieces draw inspiration from the constellations. The opening ceremony was further honoured by the presence of His Excellency Otaka Masato, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand.
Rangsan Narathasajan, the architect and interior designer behind the 78-square-metre boutique, explained to guests at the event that he intended for the flooring to feature flowing curved lines reminiscent of the Zen garden on the adjacent terrace just outside. The black display islands used for presenting the watches mimicked large stones within the said garden. Meanwhile, the walls are finished in black yakisugi wood to create a subdued atmosphere, allowing the watch displays to be properly illuminated by the lights from the ceiling whose Kumiko latticework resembles the orbital nature of the universe.
To celebrate both the opening of this first global boutique and the 75th anniversary of Orient Star, the brand also unveiled a Thailand-exclusive limited edition of 275 pieces named the Modern Skeleton Land of Smile Limited Edition.
The concept behind the watch is that the warm and welcoming smile was among the first impressions experienced by the Japanese Orient Star team as they arrived in Thailand. The dial incorporates red, white and blue accents as inspired by the colours of the Thai national flag. The Land of Smile edition features a 41 mm stainless steel case and is powered by the in-house hand-winding Calibre F6F44 with 50-hour power reserve.
