Urban Jürgensen is a historic Danish brand that resumed operations under new ownership in 2021 and made their official public debut in mid-2024. Recently, before the end of 2025, the brand issued a formal announcement stating that Kari Voutilainen will transition from his current role as Co-CEO to become a Board Member and a Senior Strategic Advisor. Consequently, Alex Rosenfeld from the family that owns Urban Jürgensen will assume the position of sole Chief Executive Officer.
Kari Voutilainen will remain involved in the ongoing developments of Urban Jürgensen while relinquishing daily administrative responsibilities: a shift intended to provide him with more time to focus on design and his primary vocation as a master watchmaker. This transition at Urban Jürgensen also aligns with the changes currently taking place at Voutilainen’s own eponymous brand. Concurrently, his daughter Venla Voutilainen will depart from her role as Chief Operating Officer and After-Sales Director of Urban Jürgensen. She will return to dedicate her full attention to the Voutilainen family brand.
