เราทุกคนคุ้นเคยกับภาพความคลาสสิกของ Bovet กันมาโดยตลอด เพราะนาฬิกาของเขาหลายรุ่นมีรากฐานในการออกแบบมาจากนาฬิกาพก ดังนั้นสิ่งหนึ่งที่หลายคนอาจไม่ทันสังเกตก็คือว่านาฬิกาข้อมือ Bovet ที่ผ่านมาทุกรุ่นจะมาพร้อมกับสายหนังหรือสายวัสดุอื่นเท่านั้น โดยที่ไม่มีรุ่นใดเป็นสายแบบเบรซเลทเลย จนกระทั่งมีการเปิดตัว Récital 12 ใหม่ที่คุณเห็นอยู่นี้

สิ่งหนึ่งที่เราชื่นชอบเป็นอย่างมากก็คือการออกแบบลวดลายของข้อสายให้ดูเป็นตัวของตัวเอง และแตกต่างจากสายนาฬิการุ่นอื่นๆ ในตลาดโดยสิ้นเชิง เมื่อดูที่สายจากด้านที่ติดกับตัวเรือนไล่ไปหาบานพับจะเห็นเป็นตัววีขัดเงาที่ดูลอยขึ้นมาจากฉากหลังที่ขัดด้าน คอนเซปท์ของลวดลายนี้มีที่มาจากตัวอักษรวีซึ่งเป็นตัวอักษรตรงกลางในชื่อ Bovet นั่นเอง และภายในบานพับของสายรุ่นนี้ก็ยังมีระบบขยายความยาวอีก 3 มม. เพื่อรองรับการขยายตัวของข้อมือตามอุณหภูมิระหว่างวันด้วย
Bovet Récital 12 ผลิตทั้งตัวเรือนขนาด 40 มม. และสายนาฬิกานี้ด้วยวัสดุไทเทเนียมเกรด 5 จึงมีน้ำหนักเบาเป็นพิเศษ การทำงานใช้เครื่องแบบไขลานรุ่นคาลิเบอร์ 13BMDR12C2 กำลังลานสำรอง 7 วันซึ่งมีการกลับเบสเพลทให้เห็นบาลานซ์วีลอยู่ทางด้านหน้าปัดอย่างชัดเจน หน้าปัดแบบเยื้องจุดศูนย์กลางเป็นกิโยเช่ลายดอกบัว 12 กลีบลงแลคเกอร์ 8 ชั้นเพื่อความอิ่มของสีที่มีให้เลือก 3 สีด้วยกัน ได้แก่ สีน้ำเงิน สีเทอร์ควอยซ์ และสีเอเมอรอลด์

We have long associated Bovet with classic elegance, as many of their timepieces draw inspiration from pocket watches. One detail that may have gone unnoticed, however, is that every Bovet wristwatch to date has been paired exclusively with leather or other non-metal straps but never a bracelet. That is, until the introduction of the new Récital 12 you see here.
Pascal Raffy, the brand’s owner, has frequently received requests from Bovet collectors worldwide for a timepiece designed for casual daily wear, ideally with a bracelet. But given his meticulous attention to detail, developing a bracelet that met his exacting standards took a full two years of refinement. The result is a design that he believes offers the highest possible level of comfort.
One particularly commendable feature is the bracelet’s unique aesthetic, which sets it apart from anything else on the market. When viewed from the lugs toward the clasp, the links reveal a polished “V” motif that appears to float above a brushed background. This design takes inspiration from the central letter “V” in the Bovet name. Additionally, the bracelet’s clasp incorporates a discreet extension system, allowing for up to 3 mm of adjustment to accommodate natural wrist expansion throughout the day.
The Bovet Récital 12 is crafted entirely from Grade 5 titanium, including both the 40 mm case and the newly developed bracelet, ensuring an exceptionally lightweight feel. Powering the watch is the hand-winding, 7-day-power reserve Calibre 13BMDR12C2 with reversed baseplate to showcase the balance wheel on the dial side of the watch. Meanwhile, the off-centred dial, adorned with a 12-petaled lotus flower guilloché motif, is finished with eight layers of lacquer for a deep, rich colour. It is available in three captivating shades: blue, turquoise, and emerald.
