Omega นำดีไซน์ดั้งเดิมกลับสู่คอลเลคชั่น Railmaster อีกครั้งหนึ่ง

นอกจาก Speedmaster และ Seamaster ที่ทุกคนคุ้นเคยกันแล้วก็ยังมี Railmaster อีกรุ่นนะครับที่ประกอบกันเป็นกลุ่มนาฬิกา Professional ของ Omega เมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1957 แต่ว่าเมื่อถึงจุดหนึ่ง Omega ก็ไม่ได้ผลิต Railmaster ต่อ อาจจะเป็นเพราะฟังก์ชั่นการใช้งานที่เฉพาะเจาะจงเกินไป และไม่ใช่ทุกคนที่จะต้องการประสิทธิภาพในการป้องกันสนามแม่เหล็กเหมือนวิศวกร ช่างเทคนิคหรือนักวิทยาศาสตร์ที่ต้องทำงานใกล้อุปกรณ์ต่างๆ ครั้นเมื่อ Omega นำ Railmaster กลับมาผลิตอีกครั้งในปี ค.ศ. 2003 ก็มักจะทำแบบไม่ต่อเนื่องบ้าง หรือทำแล้วหน้าตาดูแฟชั่นเกินไปจนขาดความเชื่อมโยงกับรุ่นดั้งเดิมบ้าง
แต่ตอนนี้น่าจะลงตัวแล้วครับ เพราะ Omega เพิ่งส่งภาพ Railmaster รุ่นปี ค.ศ. 2025 ให้เรา มีรุ่นแรกแบบ 3 เข็มที่แทบจะถอดแบบมาจากรุ่นออริจินอลเลย แถมยังเพิ่มกลิ่นอายแห่งความร่วมสมัยด้วยการทำเอฟเฟกต์ไล่โทนสีจากเทาไปดำบนหน้าปัด และอีกรุ่นหนึ่งแบบ 2 เข็มครึ่งซึ่งไม่เหมือนรุ่นออริจินอลแต่ก็สมมุติความวินเทจขึ้นมาได้อย่างแนบเนียนด้วยหน้าปัดที่ไล่โทนสีจากเบจไปเป็นดำ
Railmaster ทั้ง 2 รุ่นนี้มีตัวเรือนสเตนเลสสตีลขนาด 38 มม. ทำงานด้วยเครื่องนาฬิกาแบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติระดับมาสเตอร์โครโนมิเตอร์รุ่นคาลิเบอร์ 8806 (รุ่น 3 เข็ม) และ 8804 (รุ่น 2 เข็มครึ่ง) ซึ่งสามารถทนทานต่อสนามแม่เหล็กได้ถึงระดับ 15,000 เกาส์ สวมใส่ด้วยสายสเตนเลสสตีลขัดด้านสลับเงาที่มีบานพับซ่อนหรือสายหนังสีเข้ากับหน้าปัด เราขอแนะนำรุ่นนี้สำหรับใครที่ต้องการนาฬิกาสไตล์วินเทจที่ให้ฟีลคนทำงานสู้ชีวิตแต่ไม่ใช่นาฬิกาแนวทหารครับ

In addition to the familiar Speedmaster and Seamaster lines, there is also the Railmaster – another model that formed part of Omega’s Professional trilogy launched in 1957. However, at a certain point, Omega ceased production of the Railmaster, likely due to its highly specific functionality. After all, not everyone requires the same level of magnetic resistance as engineers, technicians or scientists working near electronic equipment. When Omega eventually revived the Railmaster in 2003, the line was somewhat sporadic, and the design later became so fashion-forward that the connection to the original was more or less lost.
That said, the latest iteration appears to strike the right balance. Omega has just shared images of the 2025 Railmaster models, starting with a 3-hand version that closely mirrors the original, now updated with a contemporary gradient dial that transitions from grey to black. The second version, a small second hand model, does not directly replicate the original but cleverly evokes a vintage spirit through a dial that fades from beige to black.
Both Railmaster versions feature 38 mm stainless steel cases and are powered by self-winding movements certified to Master Chronometer standards: Calibre 8806 for the 3-hand version and Calibre 8804 for the small second hand model. Each offers an impressive magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. They are available with either a brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet with a hidden clasp or a leather strap in a tone that complements the dial. We believe that the Omega Railmaster is ideal for those seeking a vintage-style timepiece that exudes a hardworking, utilitarian character – without veering into full military watch territory.
