โฉมใหม่ในโทนสีฟ้าของสัญลักษณ์แห่งความโชคดีจาก Van Cleef & Arpels

ฌาคส์ อาร์แปวส์ หลานชายของเอสแตล อาร์แปวส์ เคยกล่าวว่า “ก่อนที่คุณจะโชคดีได้ คุณจะต้องเชื่อในเรื่องโชคเสียก่อน” และเขาก็มักจะเด็ดใบโคลเวอร์จากสวนที่บ้านของเขาไปฝากทีมงานเพื่อเป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งความหวังและโชค ก่อนที่ใบไม้ 4 กลีบนี้จะถูกถ่ายทอดเป็นเครื่องประดับคอลเลคชั่น Alhambra ที่สื่อถึงความโชคดีในปี ค.ศ. 1968 เริ่มต้นด้วยสร้อยคอแบบยาวที่ประดับด้วยใบโคลเวอร์ทองแต่งขอบโดยรอบด้วยบีดทองจำนวน 20 ใบ ดีไซน์ดังกล่าวประสบความสำเร็จอย่างรวดเร็วและขยายไปครอบคลุมจิวเวลรีอื่นๆ ตามลำดับ
ในช่วงเวลาหลายทศวรรษที่ตามมานั้น Van Cleef & Arpels ก็มีการขยายไลน์ผลงานให้กับ Alhambra อย่างน่าสนใจจนดูสดใหม่อยู่เสมอด้วยลวดลาย การตกแต่งและวัสดุต่างๆ โดยไม่ทิ้งซึ่งความสง่างามและคุณค่าแต่ดั้งเดิมของคอลเลคชั่น อย่างล่าสุดนี้ก็มีนาฬิกา Sweet Alhambra ที่ผสานโทนสีฟ้าแบบเย็นสบายตาของคาลซีโดนีเข้ากับความขาวของเพชรและไวท์โกลด์ได้อย่างลงตัว
คาลซีโดนีเป็นแร่ควอตซ์ลักษณะโปร่งแสงในโทนสีไล่ตั้งแต่เทาไปจนถึงฟ้าและลาเวนเดอร์ แทรกด้วยแถบสีขาวที่ตัดสลับเข้ามาเป็นระดับชั้นโดยธรรมชาติ ในนาฬิกา Sweet Alhambra รุ่นนี้เราจะเห็นใบโคลเวอร์ไวท์โกลด์ที่มีหน้าเป็นคาลซีโดนีจำนวน 3 ใบ วางสลับกับใบโคลเวอร์ไวท์โกลด์ประดับเพชร 3 ใบ และใบโคลเวอร์ไวท์โกลด์แกะลายกิโยเช่เป็นรัศมีแผ่ออกจากจุดศูนย์กลาง 3 ใบ โดยที่มีใบแกะลายกิโยเช่ใบหนึ่งใหญ่กว่าใบอื่นๆ เพราะว่าใบนั้นคือตัวเรือนนาฬิกาจริงที่มีเข็มบอกเวลาอยู่ และนี่ถือเป็นครั้งแรกด้วยของคอลเลคชั่น Alhambra ที่มีการรวมเอาทั้งเพชร หินสีและการแกะสลักแบบกิโยเช่ไว้ในผลิตภัณฑ์ชิ้นเดียวกัน
พร้อมกันนี้ Van Cleef & Arpels ยังมีการออกเครื่องประดับอื่นๆ ที่นำเสนอโทนสีฟ้าอ่อนของคาลซีโดนี ไม่ว่าจะเป็นสร้อย Magic Alhambra แบบปรับรูปแบบการสวมใส่เป็นสร้อยคอยาว สร้อยคอสั้นและสร้อยข้อมือได้ และแหวน Vintage Alhambra แบบกลับหน้าได้ซึ่งจะเข้ากับนาฬิกา Sweet Alhambra ใหม่นี้ได้เป็นอย่างดี

Jacques Arpels, the nephew of Estelle Arpels, once said, “To be lucky, you have to believe in luck”. He also had the habit of picking clover leaves from his garden to give to his colleagues as symbols of hope and good fortune. This specific silhouette of the four-leaf clover would later be immortalised in 1968 as the Alhambra collection.
First appearing as a long necklace adorned with twenty golden clover motifs edged with delicate golden beads, the design was an immediate success and soon expanded into a full range of jewellery creations. Over the following decades, Van Cleef & Arpels continued to enrich the Alhambra collection with new interpretations in pattern, texture and materials, ensuring that it remains ever fresh while preserving its inherent grace and timeless significance. The latest addition, the Sweet Alhambra watch, beautifully pairs the cool, serene hue of chalcedony with the brilliance of diamonds and the refinement of white gold.
Chalcedony, a translucent variety of quartz, naturally displays soft gradations from grey to blue and lavender, and is often interspersed with delicate white bands. In this Sweet Alhambra watch, the design features three white gold clover motifs set with chalcedony, alternating with three clovers paved with diamonds and three guilloché-engraved white gold clovers radiating from the centre. One of these guilloché clovers is larger than the rest, as it is the actual watch case with functional hour and minute hands. Remarkably, this is the first time the Alhambra collection has combined diamonds, ornamental stone and guilloché engraving within a single creation.
At this same time, Van Cleef & Arpels also presents oter jewellery pieces in soft blue chalcedony tones, including the transformable Magic Alhambra necklace, which can be worn long or short or as a bracelet; and, the reversible Vintage Alhambra ring. Both are certain to complement the new Sweet Alhambra watch perfectly.
