นี่ไม่ใช่นาฬิการุ่นใหม่ แต่เป็นหน้าปัดสีใหม่ของนาฬิกาจีเอ็มทีที่มีกลไกการทำงานแบบไม่เหมือนใครซึ่ง Parmigiani Fleurier เปิดตัวเป็นครั้งแรกเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2022
ในขณะที่นาฬิกาจีเอ็มทีส่วนมากจะมีเข็มชั่วโมงแบบเดินครบหนึ่งรอบในเวลา 24 ชั่วโมงเพิ่มเข้ามาเพื่ออ่านเวลาควบคู่กับสเกล 24 ชั่วโมงบนขอบตัวเรือนหรือขอบหน้าปัด และปรับตั้งเข็มต่างๆ ด้วยการดึงเม็ดมะยมออกมาหมุนขึ้นลง แต่ Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante เป็นนาฬิกาจีเอ็มทีในอารมณ์มินิมอลถึงขนาดที่หากมองผิวเผินจะไม่รู้ด้วยซ้ำว่าเป็นนาฬิกาจีเอ็มที
นาฬิการุ่นนี้ให้มีเข็มชั่วโมงแบบ 12 ชั่วโมงปกติสองเข็มซ้อนกัน เข็มบนเป็นทองเคลือบโรเดียมให้เป็นสีเงินและเข็มล่างเป็นโรสโกลด์สีธรรมชาติ เข็มทั้งสองนี้จะเดินควบคู่กันไปเรื่อยๆ จนเมื่อคุณเดินทางไปประเทศอื่นและคุณกดปุ่มที่อยู่บริเวณ 8 นาฬิกาของตัวเรือน เข็มชั่วโมงเข็มบนที่เป็นสีเงินก็จะขยับไปข้างหน้าครั้งละชั่วโมง
ดังนั้นเมื่อคุณกดปุ่มนี้ต่อไปเรื่อยๆ เข็มชั่วโมงสีเงินก็จะทำหน้าที่เป็นเข็มบอกเวลาโลคอลไทม์ของประเทศที่คุณไปเยือนนั้น ในขณะที่เข็มชั่วโมงโรสโกลด์ข้างล่างยังคงชี้บอกเวลาเดิมหรือโฮมไทม์ต่อไป จากนั้นเมื่อต้องการเลิกใช้งานก็เพียงกดปุ่มที่ฝังอยู่ในเม็ดมะยมแล้วเข็มชั่วโมงสีเงินก็จะดีดกลับไปซ้อนอยู่เหนือเข็มชั่วโมงทันที (และเป็นที่มาของคำว่า “Rattrapante” ในชื่อรุ่นเพราะคำนี้ในภาษาฝรั่งเศสแปลตรงตัวได้ว่า “catch-up”)
สำหรับ Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante Verzasca นี้มีหน้าปัดแกะลายแกรงดอร์จหรือลายข้าวบาร์เลย์ด้วยเทคนิคกิโยเช่ในสีเขียวใหม่ที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากน้ำในทะลสาบที่เปี่ยมด้วยแร่ธาตุแห่งหุบเขาแวร์ซาสก้าใกล้ชายแดนสวิส-อิตาเลียน ตัวเรือนและสายเป็นสเตนเลสสตีล ส่วนขอบตัวเรือนนั้นเป็นแพลทตินัมเช่นเคยตามสไตล์ของ Parmigiani Fleurier ทำงานด้วยเครื่องนาฬิการุ่นคาลิเบอร์ PF051 ซึ่งมีไมโครโรเตอร์โรสโกลด์ทำหน้าที่ขึ้นลานจนได้กำลังสำรองเต็ม 48 ชั่วโมง

This is not a new watch model but a new dial colour variation of the uniquely engineered GMT timepiece that Parmigiani Fleurier first unveiled in 2022.
Most GMT watches feature a 24-hour hand that completes one full rotation per day that is read against a 24-hour scale on the bezel or dial, and adjusted by pulling and turning the crown. The Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante, on the other hand, takes a remarkably minimalist approach. At first glance, one might not even realise that it is a GMT watch at all.
Instead of that additional 24-hour hand, Parmigiani Fleurier proposes two superimposed 12-hour hands. The upper hand, in rhodium-plated gold, sits above a lower hand in rose gold. Both move in unison under normal conditions until the wearer travels abroad and presses the pusher at the 8 o’clock of the case. Each press advances the upper rhodium hand forward by one hour.
You simply actuate the pusher as many times as required for the rhodium hand to match the local time of your travel destination, while the rose gold hand beneath continues to display your home time. When you wish to revert to single-time mode, simply press the pusher that integrated into the crown, and the rhodium hand instantly jumps back to align with the rose gold hand – the very mechanism that explains the term “Rattrapante” or “catch-up” in French in this watch model name.
The Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante Verzasca features a grain d’orge or barleycorn guilloché pattern on the dial whose green shade is inspired by the mineral-rich waters of the Verzasca Valley near the Swiss-Italian border. The case and bracelet are made of stainless steel, while the bezel is crafted in platinum, as is characteristic of Parmigiani Fleurier. Powering the watch is the self-winding Calibre PF051 with a rose gold micro-rotor that winds the mainspring to provide a 48-hour power reserve.
