นาฬิกาที่บอกเวลาด้วยกลไกจั๊มปิ้งอาวไม่เคยเป็นเทรนด์หรืออยู่ในกระแส สมัย 20-25 ปีก่อนพบเห็นได้ในนาฬิกาทั้งราคาถูกและแพงก่อนจะเลือนหายไป จนกระทั่งราวปี ค.ศ. 2015 จึงเริ่มกลับมาอีกครั้งในนาฬิการาคาแพงเสียเป็นส่วนมาก แล้วช่วง 2-3 ปีนี้เองจึงเริ่มทวีจำนวนให้เห็นมากขึ้น แต่กลไกดังกล่าวนี้ก็มักจะอยู่ในตัวเรือนที่ออกไปทางเดรสมากกว่าสปอร์ตอยู่ดี

Jumping hour watches have never been a mainstream trend. Some two decades ago, they could be found across a wide price spectrum, from affordable models to high-end creations, before gradually fading from the scene. Around 2015, the complication made a comeback, primarily in the realm of expensive timepieces. The number of jumping hour watches has grown once more in the past few years, though they have typically appeared in more dress-oriented designs rather than sporty ones.
That is why the debut of the Terra Nova Jumping Hour by the British pilot’s watch brand Bremont stands out as something quite different. The watch features a 40.5 mm case crafted from 904L stainless steel and comes fitted with a distinctive bracelet designed specifically for the Terra Nova collection: a line conceived for land exploration and inspired by early 20th century military pocket watches.
Time is displayed through a jumping hour window at 9 o’clock, a rotating minute disc, and a prominent central seconds hand on a glossy black dial. Powering the watch is the Calibre BC634 movement, produced exclusively for Bremont under a two-year agreement with Sellita. The movement is engineered with high torque to instantly advance the hour disc in less than a tenth of a second as each new hour begins. It offers a power reserve of 56 hours.
