ความร่วมมือครั้งที่ 2 ระหว่าง Franck Muller และ #FR2 ที่นำเสนอสีสันสดใสเต็มพิกัด

แค่เปิดมาภาพแรกก็สัมผัสได้ถึงสีสันและความมีชีวิตชีวาแล้ว เมื่อ Franck Muller จับมือออกแบบนาฬิการุ่นพิเศษร่วมกับ #FR2 แห่งโตเกียวอีกครั้งหนึ่ง
#FR2 หรือชื่อเต็มว่า Fxxking Rabbits เป็นแบรนด์แนวสตรีทแวร์จากญี่ปุ่นที่ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2014 โดยคุณเรียว อิชิกาวะ ซึ่งโด่งดังมาก่อนหน้านั้นแล้วจากอีกแบรนด์หนึ่งของเขาที่มีชื่อว่า Vanquish ความตั้งใจของเขาคือการปั้น #FR2 ให้เป็นแบรนด์ที่มีความแสบและซน โดยมีคาแรคเตอร์สำคัญคือน้องกระต่ายซึ่งเป็นสัตว์ประจำปีเกิดของผู้ก่อตั้งแบรนด์ด้วย
และเรื่องปีกระต่ายนี้เองคือจุดเชื่อมโยงที่ทำให้ Franck Muller ได้มาจับมือกับ #FR2 เป็นครั้งแรกเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2023 เพื่อร่วมกันออกแบบ #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard สำหรับปีกระต่ายในโทนสีโมโนโครมด้วยการใช้ตัวเรือนวัสดุคาร์บอนและกลาสไฟเบอร์คอมโพสิทตัดกับหน้าปัดสีขาวสว่างจนเรียกเสียงฮือฮาจากผู้คนทั้งในวงการนาฬิกาและวงการแฟชั่นได้เป็นอย่างมาก
สำหรับ #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard Beach Limited Edition ที่เปิดตัวล่าสุดนี้คือความร่วมมือกันครั้งใหม่ของทั้ง 2 แบรนด์ ประกอบด้วยนาฬิกาลิมิเต็ดเอดิชั่นธีมชายหาดรุ่น Heatwave Red, Surf Blue และ Tropical Green ที่ล้วนแล้วแต่ชวนให้นึกถึงสายลมและแสงแดด ผลิตเพียงรุ่นละ 300 เรือนและจะวางจำหน่ายในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิกเท่านั้น
ตัวเรือนทรงตอนโนขนาด 41 x 49.95 มม. ที่กันน้ำได้ 30 เมตร ของ Vanguard Beach ชุดนี้ผลิตจากวัสดุกลาสไฟเบอร์คอมโพสิทที่มีน้ำหนักเบาและทนทาน สามารถสวมใส่ได้โดยสะดวกในชีวิตประจำวัน วัสดุชนิดนี้ได้จากการนำแก้วไปหลอมที่อุณหภูมิ 1,500 องศาเซลเซียสแล้วดึงเป็นเส้นก่อนที่จะปล่อยให้เย็นลงแล้วแปรสภาพเป็นแผ่นวัสดุบางๆ ที่อุณหูภมิ 700 องศาเซลเซียส จากนั้นจึงนำแผ่นวัสดุไปอาบสีจนได้โทนที่ต้องการแล้วอัดให้กลายเป็นก้อนที่มีสีสันจัดจ้านอย่างที่เห็นเพื่อใช้เป็นวัตถุดิบในการผลิตตัวเรือนต่อไป
หน้าปัดสไตล์ซัมเมอร์ของนาฬิกาทั้ง 3 รุ่นนำเสนอฉากของน้องกระต่าย 2 ตัวในบรรยากาศที่แตกต่างกันทางด้านซ้ายล่าง เช่น ฉากชายหาดของรุ่น Heatwave Red ฉากเกลียวคลื่นของรุ่น Surf Blue และฉากต้นไม้ของรุ่น Tropical Green ที่ตำแหน่ง 2 นาฬิกามีหน้าต่างวันที่ที่ไม่เพียงดูเหมือนดวงอาทิตย์ในฉากแต่ยังเป็นการสื่อถึงชื่อแบรนด์ #FR2 ในทางอ้อมด้วย และเมื่อสวมนาฬิการุ่นนี้เข้าในที่มืดก็จะเห็นว่ารูปน้องกระต่ายนั้นเรืองแสงได้ด้วยเพราะมีการเคลือบสารเรืองแสงซูเปอร์ลูมิโนว่าเหมือนกับเข็มบอกเวลา
#FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard Beach Limited Edition สวมใส่ด้วยสายนาฬิกาที่เป็นไนล่อนสีขาวด้านบนและเป็นหนังด้านล่าง รัดกับข้อมือด้วยแถบเวลโครเพื่อความสะดวกเวลาสวมใส่และทำความสะอาด บนตัวสายมีการพิมพ์ลวดลายที่เชื่อมโยงต่อเนื่องมาจากฉากบนหน้าปัดและชื่อแบรนด์ #FR2 การทำงานใช้เครื่องนาฬิกาแบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติรุ่น MVT 2536-SCDT2H ซึ่งได้รับการขัดลวดลายอย่างสวยงามบนบริดจ์ต่างๆ และมีกำลังลานสำรอง 42 ชั่วโมง

The three limited edition watches are crafted from colourful, lightweight and durable glass fibre composite.

From the very first image, one can already feel the colours and vibrancy, as Franck Muller once again joins hands with Tokyo-based #FR2 to design a trio of timepieces.
#FR2, or in full, Fxxking Rabbits, is a Japanese streetwear brand founded in 2014 by Ryo Ishikawa, who had already achieved fame from his earlier brand Vanquish. His intention was to shape #FR2 into a brand with an irreverent and mischievous character, with the signature mascot being the rabbits: the animal of the founder’s zodiac year.
It was this connection to the Year of the Rabbit that led Franck Muller to collaborate with #FR2 for the first time in 2023. The #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard was jointly created in monochrome tones. This model used a carbon and glass fibre composite case, contrasted with a bright white dial. It generated considerable excitement among enthusiasts in both the watchmaking and fashion worlds in the process.
The recently launched #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard Beach Limited Edition marks a new collaboration between the two brands. The collection features three beach-themed watches in different colours: Heat Heatwave Red, Surf Blue and Tropical Green, each evoking sea breezes and sunlight. Only 300 pieces of each version will be produced, available exclusively in the Asia Pacific region.
The Vanguard Beach’s tonneau case measures 41 x 49.95 mm and is water resistant to 30 metres. It is crafted from lightweight and durable glass fibre composite, making it suitable for comfortable daily wear. The material is produced by melting glass at 1,500 degrees Celsius, drawing it into fibres, cooling it, and then transforming it into thin sheets at 700 degrees Celsius. The sheets are then submerged in colour baths to achieve the desired tones before being compressed into vividly coloured blocks that are used as the raw material for the case.
The summer-style dials of all three models feature two rabbits in different environments at the lower left: a beach scene for the Heatwave Red, a wave motif for the Surf Blue, and a tree backdrop for the Tropical Green. At the two o’clock position, there is a date window that not only resembles the sun within the scene but also indirectly references the #FR2 brand name. When the watch is worn in the dark, the rabbits glow due to a coating of Super-LumiNova which is the same luminous material used on the hands.
The #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard Beach Limited Edition comes with a strap made of white nylon on the upper side and leather on the underside. It is fastened with a Velcro band for convenience in both wearing and cleaning. The strap carries printed patterns that continue from the dial scene and the #FR2 brand name. Inside the watch is the self-winding Calibre MVT 2536-SCDT2H, decorated with traditional patterns on its bridges and offering a 42-hour power reserve.
Franck Muller began in 1991 with mechanical complications as their main selling point, earning the title “Master of Complications” along the way. This expertise still remains evident in many of its current models. Collaborations with third parties in other industries, such as this Vanguard Beach collection, can be seen as a way to broaden the brand’s recognition beyond the watch collecting world. In the long term, this can only benefit the brand, as those who first encounter Franck Muller through such lifestyle-inspired models may go on to appreciate and acquire their more complicated timepieces in the future.
