Orient Star คือแบรนด์เมดอินเจแปนระดับไฮเอ็นด์ของ Orient และเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ Seiko Epson Corporation โดยสมบูรณ์ตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 2017 เป็นต้นมาจึงมีศักยภาพในการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีการผลิตรูปแบบต่างๆ อย่างต่อเนื่อง อย่างเช่นเทคนิคนาโนพาร์ทิเคิลเมทอลมัลติเลเยอริ่งซึ่งถูกนำมาใช้เป็นครั้งแรกในโลกนาฬิกาที่เวิร์คช็อปผลิตหน้าปัดแห่ง the Shinshu Watch Studio ที่เมืองนากาโนะ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น

Orient Star is the high-end, Japan-made arm of Orient, and has been a full subsidiary of Seiko Epson Corporation since 2017. This affiliation has enabled the brand to continue advancing their manufacturing technologies, such as the nanoparticle metal multilayering technique, which was first introduced to the world of watchmaking at the dial production workshop within the Shinshu Watch Studio of Nagano, Japan.
Pictured in this article is the latest F8 Date model from the M34 collection – it is a limited edition of only 160 pieces. Using the aforementioned technique, Orient Star injects ink with nanometre-sized, ultra-fine metal particles onto a deep black dial. The result is a radiant golden meteor shower motif, emanating from the centre of the dial, and artfully avoiding the sector of power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock which is a characteristic Orient Star feature.
This M34 F8 Date model with reference number RE-BX0009B features a robust 40 mm stainless steel case, designed to embody the strength of the Greek hero Perseus. Water resistant to 100 metres, it is fitted with a sapphire crystal caseback, revealing the self-winding Calibre F8N64. This in-house movement offers a 60-hour power reserve and has been regulated to an accuracy of +15/-5 seconds per day. These refined elements combine to make the watch a true flagship of the Orient Star range.
