Hamilton เปิดตัวนาฬิกา 2 รุ่นพิเศษสำหรับเกม Resident Evil Requiem

Hamilton น่าจะเป็นแบรนด์ที่มีประวัติการออกแบบนาฬิกาเพื่อใช้เป็นพร็อพในการถ่ายภาพยนตร์มากที่สุดตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน ตัวอย่างในยุคสมัยใหม่ที่เห็นได้เด่นชัด ได้แก่ Men in Black, Interstellar, Dune และแม้แต่ Indiana Jones ไม่เพียงเท่านั้น ในช่วงเวลาราว 5 ปีที่ผ่านมา Hamilton ก็ยังเอาตัวเองเข้าไปอยู่ในโลกของวีดีโอเกมด้วยกับ Far Cry, Death Stranding และ Call of Duty เป็นต้น
ในวันนี้ Hamilton ยังคงความเป็นผู้นำวงการด้านการทายอินระหว่างโลกในจอกับโลกจริงด้วยนาฬิกาลิมิเต็ดเอดิชั่น 2 รุ่นใหม่ที่ออกแบบร่วมกับ Capcom เพื่อให้อยู่บนข้อมือของตัวละครในเกม Resident Evil Requiem และบนข้อมือของลูกค้าคนรักนาฬิกาทั่วโลกโดยเฉพาะ โดยจะจำกัดจำนวนการผลิตไว้ที่รุ่นละ 2,000 เรือนเท่านั้น
Resident Evil Requiem เป็นเกมในลำดับที่ 9 ของตระกูล Resident Evil ซึ่งเริ่มมีเกมแรกออกมาเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1996 หรือเมื่อ 30 ปีก่อน เรื่องราวในเกมมี Umbrella Corporation เป็นจุดกำเนิดแห่งความยุ่งเหยิงทั้งหมดเหมือนกับในภาพยนตร์ที่ออกภาคแรกตามมาภายหลังในปี ค.ศ. 2002 แต่ความแตกต่างระหว่างเกมกับภาพยนตร์อยู่ตรงที่ในภาพยนตร์ที่คนส่วนมากรู้จักนั้นจะมีอลิซที่แสดงโดยมิลลา โจโววิชเป็นตัวเอก ส่วนในเกมต่างๆ นั้นจะไม่มีอลิซให้เห็นเลย และจะมีตัวเอกเป็นตัวละครอื่นๆ จากแรคคูนซิตี้ซึ่งบางครั้งก็จะไปปรากฏเป็นตัวประกอบอยู่ในภาพยนตร์บางภาคด้วย
นาฬิการุ่นแรกคือ Khaki Field Auto Chrono Resident Evil Requiem Limited Edition ที่ทำงานด้วยเครื่องแบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติรุ่นคาลิเบอร์ H-21 ซึ่งมีกำลังลานสำรอง 60 ชั่วโมงบนข้อมือของลีออน เอส เคนเนดี้ในเกม ตัวละครที่มีความโดดเด่นนี้เริ่มจากการเป็นตำรวจมือใหม่ที่กำลังจะไปรับตำแหน่งที่เมืองแรคคูนซิตี้แต่ว่าเกิดเหตุซอมบี้บุกเมืองเสียก่อนจนเขาต้องดิ้นรนสู้กับทุกสถานการณ์เรื่อยมาจนถึงวันนี้ ตัวเรือนขนาด 42 มม. ของนาฬิกา Khaki Field Auto Chrono ที่เขาใส่จึงมีรายละเอียดที่ดุดัน ตั้งแต่การเคลือบสีดำด้วยกระบวนการพีวีดี เม็ดมะยมที่มีพื้นผิวเหมือนกับลูกบิดปรับกล้องติดปืนยาวของพลซุ่มยิง ในขณะที่ปุ่มกดทั้งสองของระบบโครโนกราฟก็มีรูปทรงคล้ายปลอกกระสุน แล้วยังมีสัญลักษณ์รูปปีกที่ตำแหน่ง 9 นาฬิกาและบนฝาหลังเพื่อเป็นสื่อแทนคำภาวนาให้กับผู้ล่วงลับทั้งหลาย สวมใส่ด้วยสายวัสดุสังเคราะห์สีดำและหัวเข็มขัดเขี้ยวคู่ที่มีรูปทรงเหมือนตัวเอช
และรุ่นที่สองคือ American Classic Pan Europ Resident Evil Requiem Limited Edition ที่ทำงานด้วยเครื่องแบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติรุ่นคาลิเบอร์ H-30 ซึ่งมีกำลังลานสำรอง 80 ชั่วโมงบนข้อมือของเกรซ แอชครอฟท์ ตัวละครใหม่ซึ่งเป็นนักวิเคราะห์จาก FBI และเป็นลูกของนักข่าวชื่ออลิซซ่า แอชครอฟท์ที่รอดชีวิตจากการทำลายล้างเมืองแรคคูนซิตี้ด้วยจรวดมิสซายล์จนได้มาทำข่าวเปิดโปง Umbrella Corporation ในภายหลัง ตัวเรือนเป็นสเตนเลสสตีลขนาด 42 มม. เคลือบสีดำด้วยกระบวนการพีวีดีเช่นกัน รายละเอียดสีทองที่ปรากฏบนขอบหน้าปัด ตัวเลขบนขอบตัวเรือนและเส้นที่ลากยาวตรงกลางสายหนังพิมพ์ลายจระเข้สีดำดูเข้มแข็งและมีชั้นเชิงในเวลาเดียวกัน ทั้งยังสะท้อนถึงความหลักแหลมและความสามารถในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลของเกรซอีกด้วย

Hamilton is arguably the brand with the most extensive history of designing watches as film props, from past to present. Clear modern examples include Men in Black, Interstellar, Dune, and even Indiana Jones. Beyond cinema, over the past five years, Hamilton has also entered the world of video games through collaborations with titles such as Far Cry, Death Stranding and Call of Duty.
Today, Hamilton continues to lead in bridging the worlds of screen and reality with two new limited edition models, created in collaboration with Capcom. These watches are designed to appear on the wrists of characters in Resident Evil Requiem as well as on the wrists of collectors worldwide, with each model limited to 2,000 pieces.
Resident Evil Requiem marks the ninth instalment in the Resident Evil franchise, which first launched three decades ago in 1996. As with the later film expansion that debuted in 2002, the storyline revolves around the chaos originating from the Umbrella Corporation. However, a key distinction is that while the films most audiences recognise featured Milla Jovovich’s Alice as the protagonist, the games themselves do not have her at all. Instead, they are led by other characters from Raccoon City, some of whom occasionally appear in supporting roles in the films.
The first watch is the Khaki Field Auto Chrono Resident Evil Requiem Limited Edition, powered by the self-winding Calibre H-21 with a 60-hour power reserve. In the game, it is worn by Leon S. Kennedy, a character who began as a rookie police officer assigned to Raccoon City just as the zombie outbreak began, forcing him to battle relentless threats ever since. The 42 mm case of his Khaki Field Auto Chrono features rugged detailing, including black PVD coating, a crown textured like the adjustment knob of a sniper rifle scope, and, chronograph pushers shaped like cartridge cases. A winged emblem appears at 9 o’clock and on the caseback as a symbolic prayer for the fallen. The watch is paired with a black synthetic strap and a double-prong buckle shaped like the letter “H”.
The second model is the American Classic Pan Europ Resident Evil Requiem Limited Edition, equipped with the self-winding Calibre H-30 offering an 80-hour power reserve. In the game, it is worn by Grace Ashcroft, a new character introduced as an FBI analyst and the daughter of journalist Alyssa Ashcroft, who survived the missile destruction of Raccoon City and later exposed the Umbrella Corporation. This 42 mm stainless steel case is also finished with black PVD coating. Gold-toned accents on the dial flange, bezel numerals, and the central stripe of the black crocodile-embossed leather strap lend the watch both strength and sophistication, reflecting Grace’s intelligence and analytical acumen.
Both Resident Evil Requiem and these limited edition Hamilton watches are available from today, 27 February. According to information on Hamilton’s global web site, customers who purchase both watches together will receive a specially designed presentation box to house the pair.
