Rolex เป็นแบรนด์นาฬิกาที่รวบรวมนาฬิกาใหม่ไว้เปิดตัวในงาน Watches and Wonders Geneva แต่ละปีแบบชุดใหญ่ม้วนเดียวจบ โดยจะไม่เก็บอะไรไว้ปล่อยเพิ่มเป็นระลอกตามฤดูกาลแต่อย่างใด ดังนั้นเราจึงได้เห็นผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีความหลากหลายจำนวนมาก ทั้งที่เป็นการเพิ่มตัวเลือกเวอร์ชั่นใหม่ๆ ให้กับนาฬิการุ่นเดิมที่มีอยู่แล้ว และที่สร้างกระแสความสนใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งในปีนี้ก็คือการเปิดตัวผลิตภัณฑ์ใหม่แบบออลนิวในชื่อ Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller
นาฬิกา Land-Dweller เป็นการเปิดขอบฟ้าใหม่ในสารบบนาฬิกาของ Rolex จากเดิมที่มี Sea-Dweller สำหรับนักดำน้ำลึกระดับอาชีพและ Sky-Dweller สำหรับนักเดินทางที่ขึ้นเครื่องลัดฟ้าข้ามประเทศและไทม์โซนอยู่เป็นประจำ คอนเซปท์สำคัญของ Land-Dweller คือการเป็นเรือนเวลาที่สวมใส่ได้สะดวกในชีวิตประจำวัน สำหรับทั้งคุณผู้ชายและคุณผู้หญิงที่มีความมั่นใจในการไขว่คว้าโอกาสและกำหนดชะตาชีวิตของตนเอง

นอกเหนือจาก Land-Dweller แล้ว นาฬิกาเปิดตัวใหม่รุ่นอื่นๆ ของ Rolex ในปีนี้จะเป็นเวอร์ชั่นวัสดุและ/หรือหน้าปัดเพิ่มเติมสำหรับนาฬิการุ่นที่มีอยู่ในคอลเลคชั่นแล้ว เช่น Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II รุ่นเม็ดมะยมทางซ้ายของตัวเรือนที่ในครั้งนี้มาพร้อมกับหน้าปัดเซราโครมสีเขียวในตัวเรือนและสายไวท์โกลด์ 18 กะรัต (ต่างจาก GMT-Master II รุ่นเม็ดมะยมทางซ้ายรุ่นแรกในปี 2022 ซึ่งมีหน้าปัดสีดำในตัวเรือนและสายออยส์เตอร์สตีล)

เครื่องนาฬิกาที่ใช้จะแตกต่างกันตามขนาด ได้แก่ กลไกคาลิเบอร์ 2232 กำลังลานสำรอง 55 ชั่วโมงในนาฬิกา Oyster Perpetual 28 ส่วนใน Oyster Perpetual 36 และ Oyster Perpetual 41 ที่มีขนาดใหญ่กว่านั้นจะใช้กลไกคาลิเบอร์ 3230 ซึ่งมีกำลังลานสำรอง 70 ชั่วโมง โดยที่นาฬิกา Oyster Perpetual ทั้ง 3 ขนาดนี้จะมีระบบอีซี่ลิงค์อยู่ในบานพับออยส์เตอร์แคลปส์ให้เจ้าของนาฬิกาขยายความยาวสายได้ 5 มม. เพื่อความสบายข้อมือระหว่างวัน

Rolex has long favoured unveiling its annual novelties in one comprehensive presentation at Watches and Wonders Geneva, rather than staggering releases throughout the year. As a result, each edition brings a wide variety of new models, including refreshed versions of existing timepieces as well as all-new creations. This year’s highlight is undoubtedly the debut of the completely new Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller.
The Land-Dweller opens a new chapter in the Rolex repertoire. Until now, the brand’s range has included the Sea-Dweller for professional divers and the Sky-Dweller for frequent flyers crossing continents and time zones. The Land-Dweller, as its name suggests, is conceived for everyday life on solid ground. Designed for confident individuals – men and women alike – who seize opportunities and chart their own paths, the model is positioned as a refined yet robust companion for daily wear.
What sets the Land-Dweller apart from current Rolex references is its integrated bracelet design, dubbed the “Flat Jubilee,” which flows seamlessly from the 100-metre water-resistant Oyster case. This aesthetic recalls a lesser-known series of integrated bracelet watches by Rolex from the 1970s. Still, the Land-Dweller retains unmistakable Rolex DNA: a fluted bezel, a laser-engraved honeycomb-patterned dial with a rich sense of depth and texture, and of course, the brand’s signature Cyclops lens on the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal for enhanced date legibility.
Inside the watch is the new calibre 7135, equipped with a high-frequency Dynapulse escapement running at 36,000 beats per hour. The movement’s Perpetual rotor, made of yellow gold, winds the watch with motion until the 66-hour power reserve is reached. Rolex currently offers the Land-Dweller in 36 mm and 40 mm sizes to accommodate different wrist profiles. Three material options are available: White Rolesor, Everose gold, and 950 platinum. The latter two are also offered with a bezel set with baguette-cut diamonds.
Beyond the Land-Dweller, the remainder of Rolex’s 2025 novelties centre on new materials or dial variations for existing watches. These include a new version of the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II with the crown positioned on the left side of the case – it features a green Cerachrom dial, paired with an 18 ct white gold case and bracelet. This is a departure from the first left-crown GMT-Master II introduced in 2022, which featured a black dial and an Oystersteel construction.
Notably, this marks the first time in Rolex history that a watch dial has been crafted from ceramic. Rolex has been a pioneer in ceramic material innovation, particularly in bezels. Its proprietary Cerachrom is known for its resistance to scratches, corrosion, and colour fading under prolonged sun exposure. Here, the vivid green dial of this GMT-Master II precisely matches the green tone of the bezel’s daylight half, as both are made from the same ceramic formulation.
The GMT-Master II is a 40 mm timepiece capable of displaying the time in two time zones simultaneously via the additional 24-hour hand. A third time zone can be read by rotating the bezel in either direction by the number of hour difference from the second time zone. This makes the watch an ideal tool for frequent business and leisure travellers alike.
Meanwhile, speed enthusiasts will find fresh appeal in the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona, a favourite among motorsport fans. The new version features a striking turquoise blue dial with contrasting black subdials, housed in an 18 ct yellow gold case. The watch is topped by a black Cerachrom bezel set within a yellow gold ring that enhances durability. Its tachymetric scale in yellow gold, created using the PVD technique, pays homage to the model’s enduring links to speed and motor racing.
This new Cosmograph Daytona is fitted with an Oysterflex bracelet, composed of a flexible metal blade overmoulded with high-performance black elastomer. Its 18 ct yellow gold Oysterlock clasp is built with the Easylink extension system that allows for incremental adjustments of up to 15 mm in 2.5 mm steps.
The movement inside is calibre 4131, offering precision chronograph functionality via 30-minute and 12-hour counters at 3 and 9 o’clock respectively. It also boasts the energy-efficient Chronergy escapement which maximises power reserve to the impressive level of 72 hours.
Rolex’s simpler, time-only watches received updates this year in the form of new colourways as well. The Oyster Perpetual collection now includes dials in three pastel colours: lavender for the 28 mm model, beige for the 36 mm, and, pistachio for the 41 mm. Unlike other lacquer dials within the ranges of Rolex, these three feature a matt finish. The 41 mm model also benefits from improved case and clasp proportions for enhanced wearability.
Two calibres are used in these watches, depending on the size of the case. The Oyster Perpetual 28 is equipped with the calibre 2232 with a 55-hour power reserve, while the Oyster Perpetual 36 and Oyster Perpetual 41 house calibre 3230 which offers a power reserve of up to 70 hours. All models feature an Oysterclasp with the Easylink comfort extension system, enabling a 5 mm increase in bracelet length as needed during daily wear.
Lastly, the Perpetual 1908 – Rolex’s elegant dress watch – sees the introduction of a new bracelet option. The timepiece is named after the year Hans Wilsdorf registered the Rolex name in Switzerland. Its 39 mm case is designed with a slim profile and a sapphire crystal caseback to afford a view of the caliber 7140 and its yellow gold Perpetual rotor, all while maintaining water resistance of 50 metres.
This year, the 1908 also comes with a metal bracelet known as the Settimo. This new design features short 7-row links for a comfortable, flowing fit around the wrist. The concealed Crownclasp enhances the aesthetic continuity of the bracelet and link design as well. Initially, the Settimo bracelet is exclusive to the 18 ct yellow gold version of the 1908, though it is only natural to be extended to other material versions of the watch in future.
Every Rolex watch is subjected to the brand’s rigorous Superlative Chronometer certification before it reaches a customer’s wrist. This standard requires a daily rate accuracy within the range of −2/+2 seconds, significantly stricter than conventional COSC chronometer standard that tests only the movement. Additionally, Rolex verifies the power reserve, winding efficiency, and water resistance of each reference before granting five-year warranty that is accompanied by its green seal: a symbol of quality and reliability recognised by Rolex owners around the world.
