For those awaiting news regarding the next Patek Philippe Watch Art Grand Exhibition, the brand has now officially announced that the seventh edition will take place from 2 to 18 October 2026 in Milan, Italy. This follows the immense success of six previous exhibitions held in major cities across the globe, beginning with Dubai in 2012, followed approximately every two years by Munich, London, New York, and Singapore. After a hiatus during the pandemic, the most recent event was held in Japan in 2023.
Patek Philippe has selected the Palazzo delle Scintille, also known as CityOval, located in the heart of the CityLife district, as the venue for this occasion. The total area of 2,540 square metres will be transformed into the largest and most spectacular Watch Art Grand Exhibition to date. This exhibition will feature over 500 rare timepieces created by artisans from various disciplines. Highlights include dome table clocks, pocket watches, and wristwatches showcasing intricate details such as miniature painting on enamel dials, cloisonné enamel, engraving, marquetry, guilloché, and gem-setting. There will also be live demonstrations by artisans, allowing visitors to witness the meticulousness and attention to detail required to create each masterpiece.
In addition, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of Patek Philippe through a gallery dedicated to the various watch movements designed and produced by the brand. This includes a new exhibition zone devoted to the component production process, as well as the brand’s research and development efforts. A significant area will be reserved for complicated timepieces, which remain a core strength of the brand, alongside a zone titled “Master of Sound.” This section will display watches with chiming functions, including the most complex timepiece featuring twenty functions, the Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime, and the Sky Moon Tourbillon.
